During the 2008 U.S. presidential election campaign, the Obama campaign and its Big Media promoters promised people in the United States that an Obama Administration would bring "change" and an end to U.S. military intervention in Iraq.
Yet 27 days after Obama's election, the same wife of former President Clinton who both supported the Clinton Administration's military attacks on Iraq and Serbia and policy of deadly economic sanctions on Iraq during the 1990s and voted in 2002 to authorize the Bush II Administration to launch its attack on Iraq, Hillary Clinton, is now the Obama Administration's U.S. Secretary of State-Designate. And the Obama Administration's U.S. Secretary of Defense-Designate, former CIA Director Robert Gates, is the same person who succeeded Donald Rumsfeld as the Bush II Administration's Secretary of Defense a few years ago.
In addition, a former employee of Henry Kissinger's influence-peddling firm and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Timothy Geithner, is the Obama Administration's U.S. Treasury Secretary-Designate, while the former Clinton Administration Treasury Secretary who helped draft the late 1990s banking deregulation law that led to the 21st-century U.S. banking system sub-prime mortgage crisis, former Harvard University President Larry Summers, is now a top Obama Administration economics adviser.
Not surprisingly, the U.S. military occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan and mass layoffs of U.S. workers continues and no amnesty for U.S. political prisoners like Leonard Peltier and Mumbia Abu-Jamal has yet been given--27 days after Obama's election.

Election Day 2008: Where's The Change?
On Election Day 2008, U.S. troops still occupy Iraq and Afghanistan. And the television studios of the U.S. Establishment's Media Monopoly are still not democratically-controlled by the U.S. anti-war, anti-corporate, anti-racist, anti-classist and anti-imperialist Movement community in the United States. In addition, U.S. political prisoners like Leonard Peltier and Mumia Abu-Jamal have still not been given amnesty by the Militaristic U.S. Establishment on Election Day 2008.
