66 Days After Obama's Election: Where's The Change?

Democratic President-Elect Barack Obama promised to bring “change” and “prosperity” to the United States and “peace to the Middle East” during his 2008 presidential campaign.

Yet since Obama’s election in November 2008, the official jobless rate for African-American male workers in the United States has increased from 12.1 percent to 13.4 percent, the official jobless rate for all U.S. workers has increased to 7.2 percent and over 524,000 more U.S. workers have lost their jobs—despite the U.S. Congress being under the control of the Democratic Party.

And in the Middle East, Afghanistan and Iraq are still being occupied by the Pentagon’s war machine at the same time that the U.S. government-armed Israeli war machine of the Zionist movement wages a brutal war against Palestinian civilians in Gaza—66 days after Obama’s election.
